Telling a Story using Maps

The Wabash Heritage Trail is a 13-mile trail stretching from Battleground to Fort Ouiatenon.  There are many access points to the trail, and multiple government entities care for different sections of the trail.  It may be confusing if you’re not familiar with it.  A student group from the 2025 class of Purdue NRES created a map of the Wabash Heritage Trail in Tippecanoe County, showing access points, road and stream crossings, trail ownership, historical information, and natural history information.  This map can be useful in navigating the Wabash Heritage Trail or just learning more about our area.
