Volunteer Opportunities
TICT Tuesdays
Every Tuesday from 10am-noon
Help WREC and the local invasive plant cooperative manage invasive plants at public properties every Tuesday morning. No experience necessary. We’ll provide the tools! Just wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and be prepared to cut, lift, and drag branches. No need to register, just show up!
Wabash Sampling Blitz
April 23 & 24, 2027
Every spring and fall, we host the Wabash Sampling Blitz. The Sampling Blitz is a volunteer citizen science effort where volunteers collect water samples and water quality measurements. We provide the equipment and supplies, and the volunteers spend about 3 hours sampling streams throughout Tippecanoe County. Click below to learn more and sign up!
De-Trash the Wabash
Spring 2027
Join the Tippecanoe County Partnership for Water Quality and WREC in picking up trash along the Wabash River! De-Trash the Wabash is focused on removing trash and restoring the health of the Wabash River. This cleanup is about more than picking up trash. It’s a day for citizens to demonstrate their desire for clean water and a healthy watershed.

We have a variety of tasks to accomplish during workdays including hand pulling garlic mustard, cutting and stacking honeysuckle brush, removing fencing, collecting litter, or building trails.
