Explore the Wabash Heritage Trail
Have you ever dreamed of exploring the Wabash Heritage Trail in its entirety? Join WREC’s river hike series this fall! We’ll be building up to an awesome 13-mile thru-hike, one step at a time beginning with three progressively longer hikes to build your endurance and get you ready for the ultimate challenge. Start small with three moderately strenuous group hikes to get in shape and meet fellow trail enthusiasts. Then the series culminates on January 10th with a final, 13-mile thru-hike – a perfect way to kick off the new year! Let’s conquer this trail together!
The signup for our hikes are open below. We will email registrants closer to the day of the hike, and coordinate carpools with registrants to the trail head when we meet the morning of the hike.
- November 8, 2025: 3.5 miles from Davis Ferry to Battlefield Memorial
- December 6, 2025: 4.5 miles from Davis Ferry to Tapawingo Park
- December 20, 2025: 5 miles from Tapawingo Park to Fort Ouiatenon
- January 10, 2026: 13 miles from Battlefield Memorial to Fort Ouiatenon
